Training & Ongoing Support
You don’t need to know a torsion spring from a track bracket to open a Brock Garage Door Repair location. We’ve built our onboarding around the reality that most of our best owners came from management, sales, or military backgrounds, not from swinging a wrench on garage doors. What you need is the discipline to follow a system. We’ll teach you the trade, the software, and how to hire people who already know the mechanical side. The Garrison Standard does the heavy lifting. You run the business.
Initial Training
Week one starts at our training facility, not in a conference room with PowerPoint. You’ll work on real doors, real openers, real cable sets. We walk you through the eight brands our technicians service every day: LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Clopay, Amarr, Wayne Dalton, Craftsman, and Raynor. You’ll learn what a sprung spring looks like, why a misaligned safety sensor keeps a door from closing, and how to spot a frayed cable before it snaps. We use the trade’s real words, then explain them plain. Torsion spring: the tightly wound coil above the door that does the actual lifting, under enough tension to cause serious injury if handled wrong. That’s why we train you to recognize the problem, price it, and send a trained technician. Not to become the technician yourself.
The operations side runs parallel. You’ll learn our dispatch software, how to schedule inside the window we promise, and how to build the written estimate that every customer signs before any work starts. We cover hiring: where to find technicians with the mechanical background, how we background-check and uniform them, and how to instill The Garrison Code from their first day. Marketing setup includes local digital presence, how we handle the 24/7 live answer requirement, and why that phone discipline matters more than any ad spend.
Launch Support
Opening day isn’t a figure-it-out moment. We assign a launch coach who has opened multiple locations and knows where the pitfalls hide. They help you set up your local marketing engine, configure your lead flow, and make sure your first calls get answered by a live person, not a voicemail tree. That 24/7 live answer is non-negotiable. It’s one of our brand moats, and we make sure your system works before your first paid ad goes live.
Your first jobs get hands-on oversight. The launch coach reviews your written estimates before they go to the customer, listens to your call recordings, and rides along on early appointments if needed. We want your first customers to get the same experience they’d get from a location that’s been running five years. Because in this business, reputation compounds fast, and bad early reviews don’t wash out.
Ongoing Support
- Field coaching. Regular ride-alongs and job reviews with experienced operations coaches who spot drift before it becomes a pattern. If your technicians start running late or estimates get sloppy, we catch it early.
- Marketing engine. Ongoing digital marketing support, seasonal campaign templates, and guidance on local spend. You own your market, but you don’t have to invent the playbook.
- Vendor relationships. Negotiated pricing and direct lines to suppliers for the eight major brands we service. You get the buying power of the network without the corporate overhead.
- Technology updates. Software upgrades, dispatch system improvements, and new tools tested at the network level before they reach your trucks.
- National brand campaigns. Brand-level awareness work that drives recognition for the Brock name, with assets you can deploy locally.
- The Garrison Standard audits. Regular review against our code: arrive inside the window, price in writing before work starts, do it by the book, leave the site clean, stand behind the work for a full year. No exceptions, no surprises.
You’re Never Alone
The name Brock is a plain, solid surname that sounds the way a good garage door should: strong and no-nonsense. That’s the business we built. Each location is independently owned and operated, rooted in its own community, working to the same standard we’ve held since 2001. If you’re ready to run something real, with systems that actually work and support that doesn’t disappear after the ribbon-cutting, call us at (254) 602-5116 or request info below.
